Who do I call if my child takes After-The-Bell bus transportation and is late getting home? While both provided by Krapf, please be aware that the After-The-Bell bus services are separate from the KCSD Transportation Department. Transportation delays sometimes occur, especially at the beginning of a new school year or new ATB cycle. Students do not necessarily ride the same bus home from After-The-Bell that they do from the Kennett Middle School, as ATB has consolidated bus runs. Any ATB transportation questions/concerns please contact the ATB office the office at (610) 268-5889 or at afterthebell@kcsd.org.
-
Where can I find the After-The-Bell office? The After-The-Bell office is located in room C106 of the Kennett Middle School, 195 Sunnydell Road, Landenberg, PA 19350.
-
Why didn’t my child get their first choice of activity?After-The-Bell makes every effort to provide students with their first choice of activity, however many factors impact the scheduling process such as: • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis • Many activities have limited space and popular activities may fill quickly • Turning in an incomplete form may cause students to miss the opportunity to be included in their desired activity • If your child signs up for an activity they already took that year, other students who have not taken the class may be given priority
-
What if my child submitted a completed registration form but did not receive an assignment letter?Check with the After-The-Bell office in C106 or contact ATB at afterthebell@kcsd.org or at (610) 268-5889. Assignment letters are distributed in homerooms to participating students the week before the program starts. An activity assignment list will also be posted outside of the KMS cafeteria.
-
When is registration?Information on registration dates can be found on the registration form, the ATB website, KMS Bottom of the Bookbag (KMS BBB), and on the KMS daily announcements. Registration forms are distributed in homerooms approximately three weeks prior to the program start date and are due approximately a week later.
-
How do I register my child for After-The-Bell?Please complete all parts of the registration form including the class activity selection page (with three choices selected), and the medical information page. Both parent/guardian and student must sign the completed registration and consent form and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.
-
Why do I have to provide contact and medical information? Doesn’t the school already have that? Please note that After-The-Bell is a non-profit and is a separate entity from the Kennett Consolidated School District, and therefore does not have access to school records, medical information, IEP plans, grades, etc. The medical, emergency, and contact information you provide on the registration form is the only information we have available when dealing with any issues that may arise during the program. Please feel free to call After-The-Bell at (610) 268-5889 to further discuss any specific needs, issues or medical concerns you may have regarding your child.
-
